ADIPEX   ADIPEX

Adipex is a drug that acts as a stimulant that is similar to amphetamine. As Adipex is an appetite suppressant, it is used with diet and exercise in the treatment of obesity in people living with risk factors like high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes.

It is always better to take Adipex as it has been prescribed to you and not in larger doses or for longer periods than prescribed by the doctor. This is because you may suffer from severe skin problems, sleep problems, feeling of hyperactivity or personality changes with the consumption of high doses of Adipex for longer periods of time. Take Adipex with a large glass of water, preferably on an empty stomach before breakfast or about 10 to 14 hours before sleeping.

Take Adipex for short periods like a few weeks. However you should never crush, chew, break or open an extended release capsule but instead swallow the pill whole. With this, the medicine is released slowly into the body while breaking of the pill causes too much of the medicine to be released at a time. There may be withdrawal symptoms when you stop taking Adipex after its prolonged usage. So consult your doctor before stopping the medication.

If you miss a dose, you have to take your missed dose as soon as you remember. And if you have an accidental overdose, it is important to seek emergency medical attention as an overdose can be fatal. When taking Adipex, you have to avoid alcohol as it increases the side effects of the drug. There are numerous side effects associated with Adipex which includes chest pain, fainting, fast heartbeat, increased blood pressure, disassociated thoughts, headache, diarrhea or constipation or itching.
