Novartis manufactures the Certican drug which helps is fighting organ rejection in the patients who undergo kidney and heart transplants. This was very recently approved for the prophylaxis of organ rejection in heart and kidney transplant patients. Certican is indicated for prevention of rejection in adult patients at low to moderate immunological risk receiving an allogenic cardiac or renal transplant. Certican should be used in combination with ciclosporin for microemulsion and corticosteroids for good results. In the long run, Certican should be used with a reduced dose of Ciclosporin for microemulsion.
