Nebivolol is a selective beta receptor blocker that is used or treating the hypertension. Nebivolol is the prescription medication in most countries of the world. Nebivolol has been developed as the long acting cardio selective beta blocker that has been presently licensed for the treatment of hypertension. The drug has mild vasodilating properties featured to its interactions with the L-arginine / nitric oxide pathway which is the property not yet shared by any other beta blockers. However, Nebivolol is comparatively more expensive than Atenolol, but of course it costs less than carvedilol or celiprolol. The adverse drug reactions are headache, fatigue, parasthesias and giddiness.
