Omnitrope is the Somatropin – rDNA origin prepared in the injection form for the polypeptide hormone of recombinant DNA origin. The sequence of amino acid in this product is indistinguishable to the human growth hormones of pituitary origin i.e. Somatropin. The Food and Drugs Administration of the United States has already granted recognition for the recombinant human growth hormone preparation known as Omnitrope for the treatment of the growth related disarray in the children and the adults.  

Omnitrope is designed for the continuing treatment of pediatric patients suffering from the growth failure because of the insufficient discharge of the endogenous growth hormones. It is also used for the continuing substitute therapy in adults facing the specific growth hormone deficit called GHD of either childhood or adult beginning etiology. The growth hormone deficit is necessary to be verified through the proper growth hormone stimulation tests. Omnitrope is ideal when there is any substantiation of neoplastic actions. Before initiating the Omnitrope therapy it is required to fulfill the intracranial lesions which must be inactive and anti-tumor therapy procedures.

However, the Omnitrope therapy should not be continued if there is any trace of tumor growth. The growth hormone should be averted for the promoting the growth in pediatric patients with fused epiphyses. Also for the patients with severe dangerous ailments because of the problems after the open heart or abdominal surgical operations, multiple accidental traumas or if the patient is suffering from the severe respiratory failure, the Omnitrope growth hormones should never be administered. Omnitrope is not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to Somatropin or any of its excipients.
