Opana ER is indicated for the relief of moderate to severe pain in patients requiring continuous, around-the-clock opioid therapy for a longer period of time. Opana ER is not intended for use as a prn analgesic and also it is not indicated for pain in the immediate postoperative period (12?24 hours following surgery) for patients not previously taking opioids because of the risk of oversedation and respiratory depression requiring reversal with opioid antagonists. Opana ER is not indicated for pain in the postoperative period if the pain is mild or not expected to continue for an extended period of time.

Endo Pharmaceuticals markets oxymorphone in the US as Opana and Opana ER. Opana is available as 5 mg and 10 mg tablets and Opana ER, an extended-release form of oxymorphone, is available as tablets in strengths of 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, and 40 mg. As with other opioids, oxymorphone may cause physical dependency, and may be abused.

I would like to know if there is anyway that I could get opan er 10mg and opan 5mg from the company that makes it. I have been using the ER for my chronic back pain along with the opan 5mg for breakthrough pain when needed. These two drugs have helped me alot by making it easier for me to move and to continue to work at least part time. I am a LPN and now only working parttime and because of this I don't have health insurance as of Nov. 1 but really do need to have this meds so that I can continue doing what I need to do. Is there anyway I can get help for this. My daughter who is also a nurse suggested that I contact you to see if something could be done about this. I truly hate the thought of having to be in pain again. Thank you, Sincerely, Robin Thomas. My email address is robinjoykregiel@yahoo.com
