Taclonex is the registered brand of the external usage medication typically prepared for the treatment of psoriasis Vulgaris. The medication is directed to be used strictly by the patients of 18 years and above age. The Taclonex cream or ointment should not be used under certain conditions like if you are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the ingredients of this medication, or if you have higher than regular levels of calcium traced in your blood or if you have any disorders like erythrodermic, exfoliative or pustular psoriasis. Besides these, it is suggested that the patient should thoroughly discuss his health condition with the doctor before using this medication, for safety reasons.  

Taclonex starts exhibiting the results within just 7 days of its usage in some patients; however in some typical case it may linger up to 4 weeks also. Regular use of the medication strictly as directed by the physician or dermatologist could maximize the targeted results faster. Though the usual recommended treatment period of this medication is 4 weeks, long term safety and efficacy have been assessed over 52 weeks in patients who apply Taclonex just once daily in case of need.

Usually Taclonex should not be used with any other corticosteroid or any other medication unless otherwise advised by your dermatologist or physician to avert unwanted reactions. So far the application of this medication is concerned, it is suggested that a thin layer of Taclonex should be applied on the affected area once every day and rubbed gently yet completely. The ideal time of its use is before going to bed.

Some of the reported side effects of this medication are: increased calcium levels in the blood, adrenal gland problems if used excess for longer time. The most common effects include: itching, rashes and skin burning sensation at the application site.
